Musical Theatre: Acting, Scene to Song
Erin Dilly is a Tony-Nominated Broadway and film actress and teacher with a diverse career of over 25 years. Most recently, she starred as Mother in the Broadway production of A CHRISTMAS STORY. Other starring Broadway roles include NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT , CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG (receiving a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical), INTO THE WOODS, BOYS FROM SYRACUSE, FOLLIES, FIORELLO! (Encores!) and BABES IN ARMS (Encores!) She starred in national tours of SOUTH PACIFIC, MARTIN GUERRE and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as well as working extensively in the regions. Regional highlights include: the premiere of Ken Ludwig’s LEADING LADIES at the Alley Theatre, BABES IN ARMS at the Guthrie Theatre with Liza Gennaro, and FINNINAN’S RAINBOW at the Goodspeed Opera House. Recently, Erin’s career focus has shifted to film and television. She is presently reoccurring on CBS’S BULL. She also reoccurred on the final season of HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE. Other TV and film guest star appearances include THE GOOD WIFE, PERSON OF INTEREST, GOSSIP GIRL, ELEMENTARY, BLUE BLOODS, NURSE JACKIE, THE JURY, MYSTERIES OF LAURA, HBO’s TOO BIG TO FAIL, 12 MEN OF CHRISTMAS, JULIE AND JULIA (opposite Meryl Streep) and all three LAW AND ORDERS. Erin is going into her fifth year as adjunct faculty at Pace University in the Musical Theatre Department. She is also the founder of the The Living studio (www.livingstudionyc.com), a musical theatre training intensive for working professionals in NYC. She is co-founder of 12 MILES TO BROADWAY, a theatre arts intensive for young artists in the tri-state area as well as 5 DAYS OF BROADWAY, a summer theatre intensive at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. She has taught master classes at all over the country, including University of Michigan, Interlochen Fine Arts Academy and Marygrove College, among others. She makes her home in Glen Ridge, NJ with fellow actor/teacher Stephen Buntrock and their two children, Anna and Catherine.
